Outer Banks Fishing Reports

6/3/13 Oregon Inlet Tuna at its Finest
Tuna fishing has been improving over the last few days and today it cut loose. The fleet landed in the fish with instant action. Adrian Ross and crew did a great job with steady action and we had our limit and back to the dock by 12:30. Don't get much better. Have just 3 days left open in June so give us a call or e-mail to book your trip. Thanks!

Our good buddy and long time charter Brett Walters from Richmond and his crew had good action with a nice class of yellowfin. A couple gaffer dolphin for mixed grill as well. Thanks.

6/1/13, Change of pace
Don Trexler and crew joined us on Saturday and we changed it up a little. We ran down the beach and caught some nice gaffer dolphin in the am. We came back to shore in the afternoon and caught a cole cobias. Thanks!

5/30/13 A better showing
Doug Reichert and crew from Ferguson joined us on another slick calm day. Slow in the am but some life in the afternoon with pilot whales, porpoise, hammerhead sharks and tunas. We managed 6 yellowfins and a couple dolphin but some guys got lucky and hit the tunas a couple times. Hope a good sign for next few days.

5/26/13 Good Morning Action
We had our boat owner along with Karl Knudsen and crew on the 26th. A good morning and we scrapped out 8 yellowfins and a handful of gaffers. Could not get a bite in the afternoon but still a good day. Thanks.

5/24/13 Tunas before the Front
We had Jayme Jackson, Rob Hale and crew from Raleigh who fish with us memorial weekend every year. A pretty morning and good action with the yellowfin. We left a little early with a predicted cold front and hard NW winds. It hit us about 15 miles from the beach and we had an adventurous ride but made it home in one piece. Thanks guys and see you next year.

5/23/13 Rough Conditions/Tuna Snapping!
Stuart Bates and the boys joined us today and they were very salty and ready to deal with the 20 knot south winds and endless rain squalls. A crappy ride out and tough fishing conditions but the yellowfins were biting. We got hit hard 3 times and caught 1 single as well as a couple dolphin which filled the box and back home early. Thanks guys and see you next time.

5/22/13 Great Fishing Continues
Bill Kennedy and the boys joined us again today. Despite the great gaffer dolphin fishing we had yesterday they wanted to focus on tuna and it worked out. We caught a double first thing, then 6 out of 8, then 5 out of 7. Add a 90lb Mako and handful of gaffer dolphin and the box was full and home early. Thanks guys, enjoy your fish and see you next time.
