5-28-12, More Tuna
Walter and Scott Skoropys and crew from Ohio had nice weather today but a little slower tuna fishing than yesterday. They still caught 11 yellowfin and a couple gaffer dolphin. Thanks guys and see you on Thursday.
5-27-12, Lots of Action
Chuck and Charles Bond and the gang from Kentucky fished with us on a choppy Sunday A slow ride out with a big SE swell but they were rewarded when we made it to the 650 Lots of life with pilot whales, slicks, birds, sharks and tuna! We had 6 or7 tuna eaten off by sharks but still managed a limit of nice yellowfins. Thanks for the beef Jerky as usual boys and see you next May.
5-25-12, Slower for us today.
Jayme Jackson, Rob Hale and the boys from Raleigh fished today. SOme guys got lucky and hit the tunas several times but we had a very slow pick and scrapped out 8. Thanks guys and see you next year
5-24-12, Tuna, Tuna, Tuna!
Great fishing for David Balke and crew from Raleigh. Steady action with singles, doubles and triples and a limit of nice yellowfin by 1:00 pm Thanks!
5-22-12, Alberto Who?
As recently as yesterday morning we were worried we might not make today for wind and sea for tropical storm Alberto. Thankfully the storm dwindled out and the forecast changed. We had a slick calm day other than some rolling swell and had great fishing for Dennis Harding and the boys from Maryland. 4 nice yellowfins and a good catch of gaffer dolphin. Thanks and see you next year guys.
5-21-12, Good start, slow end
We had a good morning for Tom Senty and gang from Colorado with a few tuna bites. Heavy rains and not many bites in the afternoon but still managed 8 yellowfins and a handful of gaffer dolphin for the day. Thanks!
5-17-12, Tuna and Rain
Doug Reichart and the crew from Ferguson had good tuna fishing but a rainy afternoon. We ended up with 14 yellowfins and a couple gaffer dolphin. Thanks!
5-13-12, A Little Slower Today
Howard Snyder, Bob Brogan and the guys from SNA here in Kill Devil Hills fished with us today on Mother's Day. A little slower fishing but we still had 10 nice yellowfins and a handful of gaffer dolphin. Only a few days left open in May and June so give us a call or e-mail to book your trip. Thanks!
5-12-12, Topped off!
Jesse Lacons and crew from South Carolina joined us on a beautiful day today with very light SW wind. A ton of boats out made crowded conditions but the fishing was great nonetheless. The Yellowfins hit us hard several times as well a single or two and we ended up with a limit as well as a couple gaffer dolphin. Great fishing overall for the whole fleet as tuna fishing is really shaping up. We still have a few days left open in May and June so give us a call. Thanks!
5-5-12, Tuna and Gaffers
Another picture perfect weather day for Nick Mckeel and crew from Raleigh. We started on a grass edge in the morning and had good gaffer dolphin action. We fished our way up the 600s by the afternoon where some boats had been getting some tuna bites throughout the day. We caught 4 nice yellowfins but should of had a few more, had some tough luck including losing 3 out of 5 one time. However, it was a great showing of tunas chasing flying fish so things looking up for tuna fishing. I have some days open this week so give us a call or e-mail to book your trip. Thanks!
