6-16-10, Short day
Another beautiful June day with good fishing for Bryan and Linsey Kornblau and Linsey's friend Erin. We only fished till around 1:00 as they had to be back in but we had a limit of dolphin and 2 nice tunas. Thanks!
6-14-10, Pretty day, good fishing
Much better weather today and better conditions for a dolphin as well. Chauncey Krahenbill and gang did a great job catching a limit of dolphin in short order in the morning. We then picked at some yellowfin tunas the rest of the day and missed a white marlin. Thanks!
6-13-10, Slower today
Today the wind breezed up giving us a choppy ride down the beach and busting up the grass we had caught the dolphin on the day before. We spent some time in the scattered grass and managed a small catch of dolphin. We then spent the afternoon on the edge looking for tuna and got a couple nice fish before the day was over. Thanks to Chris Bailey and crew for toughing it out.
6-12-10, Great June Fishing
Today was picture perfect with beautiful weather and great fishing. Chuck Bond and gang from Kentucky did a great job catching 7 nice yellowfins and a limit of dolphin for 450 lbs of fish! Thanks guys!
6-11-10, Nice Tuna
Dwight Sheppard's crew from Capitol Boiler Works joined us today. We had 6 nice yellowfins, a couple dolphin and a white marlin. Thanks!
6-9-10, Mixed bag
Today the water was laid out more like we want with pretty water crossing the bottom below diamond shoals tower. A beautiful grass line with some dolphin, tunas and bonitas on top, and a scattered marlin. We ended up with 6 nice tunas, a handful of dolphin and 1 out of 2 white marlin bites. Thanks to Mike Hungiville and gang for making the drive up from South Carolina.
6-8-10, Limit of Dolphin
A slick calm day for Brad Decker and crew from Virginia. Had good fishing for bailer dolphin but unable to find a tuna today. Thanks!
6-7-10, Yellowfins if Lucky
Today was a marginal forecast for Eric Fetzer and gang from PA. Luckily the weatherman was wrong in our favor and turned out to be a beautiful day. One of those days were you just had to wait your turn on the tuna bites. We caught 2 singles and 4 out of 5 which was all our tuna action. Some boats only caught 1 where some others filled the box. Thats just how it goes somedays. Still have some days open next week. Thanks!
Today started out pretty but got choppy as the day went on. We had our Shrimp boat captain John Payne and his crew from South Carolina. They did a good job in the rocky conditions catching 3 nice yellowfin and a decent catch of dolphin. Thanks for the shrimp John!
6-5-10, Last day Tuna Tourney
Slow for us today with only one tuna bite on last day of tuna tourney. Did catch a sail and saw a blue marlin that did not eat. A big thanks to Keith Powell and crew from Ohio for fishing the tourney again. They did take home some money as their 3 fish aggregate and heaviest fish placed based on a boat ahead in standings not being entered in the money. Thanks!
