Outer Banks Fishing Reports

Gaffers and more Gaffers
The gaffer fishing is as good as it gets right now. Steve Whitaker and crew did mange a nice tuna as well but it was hard to tuna fish for all the gaffer dolphin(good problem to have). Over 500lbs of fish total and a beautiful day to boot. We have mon, tue, wed open next week and plenty of days from then on so give us a call to get in on this great fishing.

Gaffers before the front.
Tom Harvey and gang from Greenville had a nice catch of gaffer dolphin on Sunday. Due to this strong cold front approaching we only were able to fish till about 11:30 in order to get in before the wind hit us. A great catch considering the shortened day. We still have Memorial Day monday as well as tues/wed open next week and plenty of days from then on so give us a call.

Open Saturdays!
We just had some saturdays open due to schedule conflicts for our boat owner. Saturday May 2nd and 9th as well as Saturday June 20th are now available. These are the only Saturdays we have open until mid July. Here is a pic of how we like to fill the fish box from last May. Give us a call if interested. Thanks.

Scrappy fishing
Scrappy fishing this weekend but we did manage a few yellowfin tunas, blackfin tunas, dolphin, and 2 wahoo. The water that produced some good fishing last weekend moved out but there was a good showing of yellowfins below Hatteras yesterday and those fish should be on the way here. Lots of days open so give us a call.

The Bluefin tuna fishing is still going off. All the 100-200lb fish you can handle. Butch Pendergrass, Carl Greene and gang boated a 171lb fish and released 15 more with doubles, triples and quads throughout the day. Best opprtunity to catch a tuna over 100lbs is right now so give us a call.

Bluefin Fishing
Great Bluefin Tuna fishing today. A honest 10 mile stretch of bluefins on top with fish from 100-150lbs. Pics of a triple header, fish on leader, and 125lb we kept. This is a great opportunity to catch a tuna over 100lbs so give us a call to book your trip.

Venezuela fishing
Chris and i made it to Venezuela to fish a tournament with our boat owner on the Turn Me Loose. Slow fishing by Venezuela standards but we managed 2 blue marlin, 2 sailfish, and a 163lb yellowfin(on 30 lb tackle) and a second place finish in the tourney. Few yellowfin at home and some 100lb class bluefin so give us a call to book a trip.
