6-25-10, Big gaffers, giant bluefin
Today we had long time charter Steve Whitaker and his family on a beautiful June day. We picked at the bailer dolphins, caught some really nice gaffers including a 48 pounder, and released a white marlin. Late in the day we hooked a giant buefin(had another one grab a teaser) which Steve fought for around 1 1/2 hours. We had to release it since they closed the trophy category June 12th. We estimated the weight to be 400lbs. Way to go Steve!
6-23-10, Early dolphins, afternoon tunas
Fast and furious limit of dolphin first thing for Brian Jeffords crew from South Carolina. We found a couple tunas in the afternoon to give the guys some mixed grill. Thanks!
6-22-10, Nice gaffers and a lone tuna
Another beautiful June day for the Alan Griffith and crew. A nice limit of dolphin including some good size gaffers. We had 3 tuna bites at end of day but only held on to one. Thanks!
6-19-10, Dolphins but not much else
A slick calm day and plenty of dolphin action but not able to find a tuna. Thanks to our crew today for being patient!
6-18-10, Dolphins and a Sail
We had the East Coast Fire Protection crew today from Richmond. We picked at the dolphin all day to get our limit. We also caught 1 out of 2 sails and jumped off a white marlin. Thanks for the ham biscuits and subs!
